All month long, the Gene Siskel Film Center screens critically acclaimed movies that focus on the black community. This is the 14th year that the Film Center has hosted the festival, which showcases works that have received praise at some of the year's biggest film events, including Sundance. One movie definitely worth checking out is The Blacklist: Vol. 1, a series of dramatic portraits of influential black Americans, including Toni Morrison, Lou Gossett, Bill T. Jones, Suzan-Lori Parks, and Sean Combs.
