In an ironic twist, Chicago quartet Califone bring their gloomy ambience to — what else? — a sunny, noontime show in Millennium Park. They're the latest Chicago act to take the stage for this summer's Audible Architecture series, which has also put Tortoise and Bill Callahan (aka Smog) under Frank Gehry's gorgeous bandshell this summer. The show is free, so anyone able to escape the grind for a little while can head out to the park for some moody, lo-fi indie Americana from four immensely talented (and innovative) hometown musicians.
