What do you get when you combine a Lincoln Square swimming pool, a dam in Utah, and the alternative theatre of the Neo-Futurists? You get Fake Lake, a play with drips, a deep end, and actors in swimsuits. The Neo-Futurists push the boundaries of conventional theatre, fusing athleticism, chance, and audience interactivity, and Fake Lake tells the story of one troupe member's shock in discovering that Utah's idyllic Lake Powell is the result of the damming of Glen Canyon. The production takes places outdoors at the Welles Park Swimming Pool, so dress comfortably and expect splashes.
