The Sarcastic Squad, a comedy collective featuring four permanent members and a weekly guest, bills itself as a "collaboration of comedians and mediums." The show features stand-up, sketch, and taped segments, but some of the strongest moments are unscripted: during a preview show, actor Eric Lutz performed an impromptu rap about his passing resemblance to Forrest Gump's Lieutenant Dan. The humor ranges from nearly family-friendly (Matt Drufke's riffs on his wife's health) to the darkest of the dark (Adam Guerino's sketch "F + H" features a bathroom abortion), but the show's laid-back appreciation for improv makes for a refreshingly loose vibe.
