Comic-book artist Ryan Claytor is moving across the country with his lady friend and unveiling a new book along the way. Given the autobiographical focus of his work — like the six-part series And Then One Day — turning his migration into a book tour seems like a natural way to continue merging art and life. He's making the trip in an old brown car with 350,000 miles on it. The jalopy serves as a good metaphor for Claytor's approach to comics: while far from flashy, his work goes the distance, taking you places with a distinctly laid-back charm.
