The Empty Bottle says…

Black Moth Super Rainbow's heady sound is by turns funky and psychedelic, with sundry analog synthesizers flying about in the warm, spacey ether. The Pittsburgh band's history and members remain somewhat mysterious, but albums like Start a People and last year's Dandelion Gum feature some of the most invitingly off-kilter pop this side of the Olivia Tremor Control. Aptly described by British rock scribe Simon Reynolds as "the missing link between Daft Punk's cosmic kitsch and the wistful bliss of 'Strawberry Fields Forever,'" Black Moth Super Rainbow touches down for a rare headlining gig at the Empty Bottle.
