The Empty Bottle says…

The criminally underappreciated bluegrass experimentalist and philosopher Henry Flynt was the first hillbilly to embrace the space-age hoedown. Single-handedly pushing old-timey twang into the modern age, Flynt's ridiculously rare releases recall the strange homemade distortions and delay effects of Konono No 1. Tonight, the aging legend takes the stage alongside outré innovators of a new age: eccentric hip-hopper Busdriver, who's well known for erratic beats and hyper-literate rhymes, and guitar-obsessed pickers Ecstatic Sunshine, who operate at the very edge of the instrumental avant-garde.
