If ever there were a good reason to crowd into a huge parking lot in the industrial district, it's the 12th Annual Hideout Block Party. Neko Case and her mesmerizing wail headline a Saturday bill that includes Giant Sand, Neil Hamburger, and Black Mountain. The sometime frontwoman of the New Pornographers — who's supported by the maverick Malian musician Vieux Farka Touré — plays country-noir classics that fit perfectly next to heartwrenching covers of, say, a Neil Young tune. Sunday highlights, meanwhile, include Tim Fite, Ratatat, and the aforementioned Pornsters, as well as a DJ set by Hercules and Love Affair.
