We Are Wolves aren't the only canines in the indie-rock pack (or even in Montreal, for that matter), but they are by far the wolfiest. The band's rawboned drum beats and clawing melodies make Wolf Parade and AIDS Wolf look like a couple of golden retrievers. Lupine traits aside, the group's style is somewhere between new-wave rug-cutting and hypnotic trance — the fruit of creaky analog synths and toy-store samples. They play tonight alongside He Say, She Say, featuring Chicago's own Million $ Mano with female vocalist Drea.
