Despite its "corporate"-sounding name, the Macy's Day of Music is an all-day indoor festival boasting a lineup of classical, indie, folk, blues, gospel, jazz, world, and family-oriented music with a penchant for pop-eclecticism and boho-cosmopolitanism. This afternoon, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra kicks things off with breezy classical favorites like Sibelius' Finlandia and Debussy's Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faun. Later, you can catch performances by awesome kiddie-folk hero Ella Jenkins, sax master Von Freeman, indie vets the Sea and Cake, and gnarly one-man-band the Lonesome Organist.
