With a penchant for reviving the sound of '80s and '90s new wave pop, Chicago's Detholz! creates hook-laden, synth-heavy musical monsters. The band counts Devo, Talking Heads, and Weezer as their influences, mixing '80s electro with the right amount of cock-rock power chords for a rock-pop marriage made in early-MTV heaven.
