There is a long tradition of found objects in the history of art, from Duchamp's readymades — such as 1917's infamous Fountain — to Joseph Beuys' enigmatic Fluxus works and Jeff Koons' '80s "commodity sculptures," like Two Ball 50/50 Tank. At today's workshop, local artist Kristin Sabatino teaches how to manipulate fabulous junk of all sorts into small sculpture, jewelry, and wearable art — a crafty, frugalista way to while away a Saturday afternoon.
