Lovvers w/ Turbo Fruits and Half Rats

Brits by birth, the art-damaged fuzz-punks in Lovvers actually sound more like children of the West Coast. On their new Wichita-minted OCD Go Go Go Girls you can practically hear the old copies of Flipside rustling off the crates. They name-check Cali heroes in their titles ("D. Boon," "100 Flowers") and share stages and sensibilities with Smell vets No Age and Mika Miko. But they set themselves apart with truly exceptional songwriting. Shifty dynamics and tight, pop hooks constantly rise out of the uber-trebly din (these guys will never meet a signal they don't want to push). Check out the ear-worming "Ad Lib," with bouncy power-pop leads worthy of the Exploding Hearts.
