Gene Siskel Film Center says…

Award-winning documentary filmmaker Robert Stone's latest creation, Earth Days, brings audiences back to the roots of the green movement. Stone unearths rare archival footage to chronicle the movement, from the post-war era of the 1950s through the early legislative successes of the '70s. Key players include former Secretary of the Interior Stewart Udall and Denis Hayes, coordinator of the first Earth Day. Fittingly, Stone's previous films have investigated equally heavy topics, including atomic-bomb testing (Radio Bikini) and the assassination of John F. Kennedy (Oswald's Ghost).
