Just as Howard Stern's nonpareil interviewing skills are overshadowed by his notorious shock-jock style, so is Dave Attell's comedic brilliance often eclipsed by his reputation as a slumming boor. Thanks to his whiskey-soaked Comedy Central series Insomniac and a foulmouthed album memorably entitled Skanks for the Memories, Attell has come to be known as the voice of America's dissolute. He may happen to be that, but he's also an A+ joke writer and a standup of the first rank. A comic's comic at the top of his game, Attell is revered by his peers for all the right reasons.
