Comedienne Susie Essman is of course most recognizable today as the scene-stealing, expletive-hurling Susie Greene in Curb Your Enthusiasm; but it's her decades-seasoned standup work that initially landed her that role — and solidified her reputation as a room-slaying firebrand. (Fellow comedians still wax in hushed awe about her gigs at Catch a Rising Star in the late '80s — where she first met Larry David). Essman arrives tonight in support of her new book, What Would Susie Say? True to form, the subtitle is unprintable.
