Just a couple of months after suffering a minor stroke, venerable radio host and author Garrison Keillor is back on the road, once again laconically serving up his beloved, homespun yarns. His one-man tour — which ruminates on aging and, natch, his Midwestern roots — coincides with A Prairie Home Companion's latest season of live broadcasts, which itself includes a nationwide tour. The longtime host of the weekly variety show is something of a godhead for lovers of all things old-timey, but Keillor retains his relevance with modern-focused books and columns, touching on everything from the Nobel Peace Prize to football.

Auditorium Theatre says…

True to his radio form, Keillor delivers hilarious anecdotes about growing up in the American Midwest and the aging process, not to mention "late-life fatherhood." With a wonderful, dry sense of humor, he captivates audiences and delivers with class, charisma, and wisdom.
