One might argue that the contemporary resurgence of craft is about a feminist reclamation of "women's work" by both genders, a Great Recession-era return to simplicity, a way to go green, or a celebration of the handmade amidst an increasingly prefab culture. But nobody can deny that it is ubiquitous, and we think it's just plain fun. If you haven't found your own DIY hobby yet, need inspiration to finish that UFO (knitspeak for unfinished object), or have yet to discover a group of crafty peeps to call your own, consider this new monthly event — a "safe creative environment" in which to stich, bitch, and share knowledge, hosted by local artist Andrea Jablonski.
