Natives might take Chicago shopping for granted, but there's a reason why the Mag Mile is perennially clogged with tourists: we really do have everything, from Disney to Louis Vuitton. But if megabrands aren't your thing — and neither is braving the crowds or the cold — this one-day-only event, hosted by the City of Chicago, puts local designers and boutiques conveniently front and center in the holiday shopping rush. Over 30 participants cover every fashion-related gifting angle, from affordable statement jewelry (K-Amato) to $15 all-silk, handmade ties (Tie Bar) and splurge-worthy handbags (Diego Rocha).
