Hopefully, the city warms up enough — from the 10th-coldest January on record — to keep us outside for the five-day inaugural Snow Days Chicago, but not so much that it melts all the flakiness the festival celebrates. Even if it isn't a powdery week, there will be enough man-made snow on hand to craft both a white-haired Albert Einstein and mischievous Max from "Where the Wild Things Are." But instead of letting yourself freeze solid staring at sculptures in Grant Park, check out some more lively activity at the snowboard rail and dog-sled demonstrations.
