Loose-knit collective Ukulele Cabaret hosts its first ukulele open mic of the year, with "songs of love, lust, betrayal, and heartbreak." Ukers of every stripe are invited to pluck the heartstrings of V-day audience members with up to three ukulele-centric songs (there's a 15-minute limit per artist/outfit). Expect electric and acoustic versions of the tiny four-string instrument, impressively weird/awesome costumes and props, and an eclectic collection of genres: from original serenades and traditional Hawaiian romance music, to covers of classic love songs like the Carpenters' "Superstar" and (fingers crossed) Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart."
