From time to time, an already polished standup comic elevates his game by moving from broad observational humor to more personal or political material. Jon Stewart, for one, turned his faux-anchor chair into a national bully pulpit, and Kumail Nanjiani scored gloriously with his autobiographical show Unpronounceable. The latest comedian to spin gold from his worldview is Jamie Kilstein, an outspoken atheist who brassily entitled a show There Is No God and It's Okay. Kilstein's in-your-face act, politics aside, is flat-out funny.
