The fur will fly at McCormick Place this weekend as 6,000 pedigreed pooches strut and strike a pose for the ultimate prize of Best in Show. This annual event is one of the few remaining "benched" shows in, ahem, dogdom — meaning that dogs are on view to the audience even while not being individually judged, making it easy to ooh, ahh, and pick your own favorites. Watch for new breeds eligible for competition this year (the Tibetan mastiff, the Beauceron, the Swedish vallhund, and the Plott hound), as well as an expo of canine commodities and, if you're in the market, the 411 on choosing your new furry best friend.
