Backlash is a bitch, and Fischerspooner have certainly endured their share. Whatever your take on the colorful performance troupe that became the poster children for electroclash — boring new-wave rehash with slicker packaging; ironic commentary on post-irony — you can't deny that core duo Casey Spooner and Warren Fischer have an ear for catchy tunes. Expect tonight's DJ set to follow similar musical lines to the duo's own sub-zero production aesthetic, packed with the kind of vintage italo disco from which the group cribbed and the current bumper crop of Kitsuné- and Ed Banger-style electo-house they helped spark.
