In this age of Guitar Hero, Hulu, and the iPod — not to mention Internet porn — the gentle art of conversation feels overshadowed by more solitary pursuits. Cheers, then, for the Interview Show, a monthly Hideout favorite in which quick-witted RedEye humor columnist Mark Bazer gathers local notables and does to them exactly what the title implies. Tonight he kicks off its second year with a guest lineup including Check, Please! creator David Manilow, DePaul University professor and street gang expert Greg Scott, spoken word artists from Remy-Bumppo Theater's Thinktank: American Ethnic, and Schadenfreude comedian Justin Kaufmann.
