The mobile madness known as Chiditarod, modeled after Alaska's Iditarod dogsled race and New York's already-legendary Idiotarod, takes over Wicker Park today. The costumed food-drive-meets-shopping-cart-race mixed with a bar crawl enters its fourth year in the city. Despite the inevitable debauchery, the event raised two metric tons for charity last year with 83 teams and hopes to do the same this year with as many as 100 teams. For those looking to add some spice to the afternoon bar crawl, engage in some trash talk, or even sabotage.
