Launched in storefronts and spare bedrooms, artist-run exhibition spaces have played a dynamic role in Chicago's creative life for years. Hyde Park Art Center's exuberant group show celebrating this DIY scene, Artists Run Chicago, alludes to that legacy, but emphasizes its continuing vitality over the particulars of its history.
