For one day each year, Columbia College takes over the South Loop for its Manifest Urban Arts Festival. Graduating seniors and plenty of student organizations all along Wabash Avenue sell their art wares, make music on four stages, show off their green art cars, and perform in readings, screenings, and showcases. This year's Spectacle Fortuna, the parade that closes the party, is dedicated to author and commencement honoree Ray Bradbury, whose characters are brought to life in the form of elaborate puppets and costumes. Punk marching band Mucca Pazza help lead the parade participants down Michigan Avenue.
