The town of Niagara, near the famous falls, was apparently daredevil central in the 19th century. Annoyance Theatre's giddily ridiculous and ribald comedy show, Daredevilry, mines this idea for all it's worth: an inspired cast of colorful characters, simulated stunt showdowns, and a cascade of funny, frequently non-sequitur gags (though with a few too many "ding dong" jokes). Everything's fair game in this production, from wild accents to a rogue musical number, making it a bit of a daredevil show in its own right. It's a shame the marvelous Allison Bills is being replaced in the lead role (Maria, the scrappy Italian newcomer) for the remainder of the run, but the other actors seem ready to romp on unfazed.
