The final chapter in Sam Raimi’s cult-classic Evil Dead trilogy, Army of Darkness is nearly impervious to criticism. It's not perfect (although plenty of Fangoria subscribers would disagree), but like Rocky Horror or any other midnight staple, its flaws — garish camerawork, oh-so-self-conscious tone — are part of its charm. Hero Ash (Bruce Campbell) is transported back to the Middle Ages to basically kill a lot of skeletons, but the plot is secondary to Raimi's camp-gore fun.
