The summer music-festival season kicks off with a fist-pumping bang with annual punk-rock fest Windy City Sound Clash. The three-day blowout's killer roster of 35-plus bands — including Chicago punk supergroup the Falcon, local pop-leaning veterans the Methadones, and out-of-towners Gateway District and the Underground Railroad to Candyland — promises to keep Memorial Day weekend rawkin' with plenty of blood, sweat, and beers. Don't-miss sets include old-school punk revivalists Toys That Kill and Lawrence Arms frontman Chris McCaughan's heartbreaking acoustic project Sundowner.
