For hip-hop enthusiasts looking for more than just a concert, the Chicago edition of Rock the Bells — now in its fourth year — blends the feel of an urban street fair with an outdoor, headliner-heavy music fest. Rapper Nas and Damian Marley, an activist artist with serious reggae roots, anchor the star-packed main stage to promote their collaborative, recently released album Distant Relatives. Catch hometown hero Common, Jamaican-American rapper Busta Rhymes, and OutKast's Big Boi, as well as some surprise performances. It's also a chance to see legendary hip-hop group the Roots in a freer, longer format than that of their nightly set on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
