Indie-pop punks Art Brut take over Schubas this week, on the heels of the release of their third album, Art Brut vs. Satan — which marks a departure from what lead singer Eddie Argos calls "miserable songs about breaking up with girls." The defiant anthem "Alcoholics Unanimous" and the boyishly nostalgic "DC Comics and Chocolate Milkshake" best signal this shift from the thoughtful British art-rock quartet. Openers change each night, and include raucous rockers Team Band and local pop lovelies Unicycle Loves You.
