It's tough for an improv troupe to set itself apart in a city bursting with quality comedy options. With nine cute, floppy puppets delivering R-rated material, the creators of the long-running cult hit Felt prove that adage every Wednesday night. Straight-faced parodies like "FeltFace" and "Feltinator" ditch set-up and punch-line yuks, allowing audiences to instead bask in the sheer absurdity. And even when some of the tricks look familiar (dropping character, hectoring the audience), Felt's deceptively simple hook keeps it sailing.
