If pirate radio got a major boost from the internet, expanding the potential audience exponentially, there's still something appealing, even subversive, about the idea of a lone person with a homemade transmitter pushing his or her way onto the FM dial. Today at the MCA, artist Brett Ian Balogh explains how to construct your own low-power transmitter and some of the legal issues of microbroadcasting.
