Shaft meets Bruce Lee with the wardrobe of Charlie's Angels in this Sundance-delighting, throwback homage to '70s blaxploitation. Black Dynamite must take down "the man" after he kills his brother, pumps heroin into an orphanage, and floods the ghetto with a secret weapon (aka Anaconda Malt Liquor). Director Scott Sanders (Thick as Thieves) straddles the line between straight-up spoof and finely detailed period piece. Sanders regular Michael Jai White plays the ass-kicking lead role, with co-stars Arsenio Hall, Brian McKnight, and Nicole Sullivan all lending hilarious support.
