Julie Mayo's dances bury landmines of gesture and body language in landscapes of idle routine. In her quartet Feed the Guest, a work from last year, the dancers' energies transfer from one to another like contagious fits, with Mark Richardson's collaged score folding samples from the Field and the Stones into the action more as interruptions than expansions. A new piece, Fever Drift, is another collaboration between Mayo and Richardson, featuring three bright young dancers. It shares the bill with two solos: Mayo dancing her own premiere, whooaa man!!, and SPILL by choreographer Tiffany Rhynard of Big APE, developed earlier this summer at Austria's Hotel Pupik.
