Directoire-era France, studies on psychosis, and Henri Michaux's mescaline trips all collided in dancer Jonathan Meyer's research. The result: three characters, a bizarrely coded last act, and a set of spaces radiating unexplained importance. Informed by Body-Mind Centering and meditation through movement, Meyer's vocabulary is fluidly twitchy, frequently exploding into acrobatics and dervish turns. Costumes by Iris Bainum-Houle and a score by Christopher Preissing put meat on its bones, but don't rule anything out, and dancers Philip Elson and Michel Rodriguez impressively meet Meyer's idiosyncratic skill set.
