Drink and Draw

Before you head off to sling a bottle of Grolsch at next week's gallery openings, why not fill your own sketchbook as you wet your whistle? On the first Wednesday of every month, Spudnik Press opens its doors for a friendly Drink and Draw session. Each installment has a different theme, along with the usual good company and reserves of PBR. The pairing of creative pursuits and comradely drinking has a noble history, of course, from the storied Max's Kansas City, where artists gathered in 1960s New York, to Tom Marioni's "social sculptures," to mention just a couple of examples. So gather your drawing materials, sit down at one of Spudnik's tables, and help carry on the tradition.
