Seasoned standup comic and self-proclaimed a-hole Marc Maron sarcastically chronicles his second divorce in Scorching the Earth. Maron is known primarily for his politically barbed satire on The Marc Maron Show, Morning Sedition and Breakroom Live, but here the focus is on his own relationship failings with fellow humorist Mishna Wolff. The bookend performance to his debut one-man show, Jerusalem Syndrome, Scorching hilariously explores love, sex, hate, and cats — Maron's self-loathing and regret acting as comedic salve.
