Recipients of Links Hall's choice LinkUp residencies get 40 luxurious hours per month to make work in the space where it will premiere. In addition to mentoring, marketing, and promotional help, they also receive 500 bones and a weekend split bill. Adam Rose is relatively new in town but intense solo performances and occult-shaded horrorography have rapidly built interest. Antitrust Circus, a new performance ritual, will no doubt continue the trend. Onstage, J'Sun Howard is somehow coolly aloof while sharing every detail about the emotional terrain beneath his thick skin. His latest, Cry, enlists four tough female dancers with a backdrop of animation by Sharon Rutledge.
