Decades of dance stardom haven't diminished Misha's interest in the form; throughout his career, he's found artists whose work keeps him engaged and meets his obscene mass of talent and experience. Now 61, he fills a lot of his days with producing and audience-building — when he's not in edgy takes on Beckett shorts or wooing Carrie Bradshaw, anyway. But he's back on the road with Ana Laguna in a program of solos and duets by Swedish movement poet Mats Ek and Alexei Ratmansky — who, as a Moscow student had to watch bootleg videos of Baryshnikov, as acknowledgement of the defector's existence was forbidden for ballet teachers employed by the Kremlin.
