For the next month, Prop Thtr is the place to be in Chicago for absurdly original theater, avant-garde performance art, and experimental music as Curious Theatre Branch's 21st Annual Rhinoceros Theater Festival takes over. The month-long fest, born out of the Bucktown Arts Festival, fills every corner of the off-loop venue with live shows and art installations. Featured performances include a show by the inter-generational, character-driven artists of the Brain Surgeon Theater, two historically-sourced pieces by the Found Objects Theatre Group, and a closing night Vaudeville show on Valentine's Day curated by playwright and songwriter Jenny Magnus.
