Jay Lesenger, director
The servants Susannah and Figaro are planning their wedding. But their master, Count Almaviva, has other intentions for the bride. Throw into the follies of the day the Countess, his jealous wife; Cherubino, a hormonal teenager in love with the Countess and Susannah; Marcellina, a desperate older woman in love with Figaro; and the beleaguered Dr. Bartolo — and the stage is set for one of the wittiest comedies ever written. Delight in a production filled with heart, humor, and Mozart’s eternally ravishing music. Performed in Andrew Porter’s English translation of the libretto by Lorenzo da Ponte.
