The embattled renovation of the historic Bolshoi Theatre continues with no end in sight (well, 2011, according to latest reports). Meanwhile, the legendary Bolshoi Opera and Ballet companies are making the itinerant most of it. Today the Harris Theater welcomes two of the Moscow Opera's most noteworthy names: gold-medal soprano Makvala Kasrashvili, a Bolshoi soloist since 1968, has globe-trotted the finest international houses; and tenor Oleg Kulko has performed with the top-draw diva likes of Renee Fleming at the Metropolitan Opera. The repertoire leans predictably, happily Russian with Tchaikovsky and Rachmaninoff.
