For The World Is Flat!, 2009 Jeff winner Seth Bockley assembles four evenings worth of dazzling toy theater. That's a lot of paper-cut minis, but the talent involved justifies the extended run. Local favorite Blair Thomas unveils a puppet adaptation of Moby Dick, but it's the much-praised New York collective Great Small Works that has our inner-child hopping. The OBIE-granted, Jim Henson Award winners perform A Short Entertaining History of Toy Theater and the Italo Calvino inspired (!) A Walk in the City.

Links Hall says…

Curated by Seth Bockley.

The national toy theater revival comes to Chicago with Great Small Works' "A short Entertaining History of Toy Theater" and "A WAlk in the City" and world premieres by Chicago's own Blair Thomas & Co., Chantal Calato, Meredith Miller, and Michael Montenegro's Theatre Zarko.

Come see what toy theater is all about.  Re-discover the magic of puppetry and the fun you can have in such a small and detailed space.

*There will be a post show reception on opening night, Thursday, February 25, 2010.
