“White Mice will never be granted the imprimatur enjoyed by Lightning Bolt or Black Dice, all of whom emerged from the hallowed Providence noise-punk scene early last decade. But just because they don't have a Wonderful Rainbow or Broken Ear Record-caliber record to their name is no reason they should be relegated to footnote status. Last year's Ganjahovadose carries on their noble juxtaposition of early Boredoms mania, sludgy, Melvins-gleaned rumble, and juvenile song titles. Still, their "gotta see it live" rep holds water. Flailing through mouse masks and bloodstained lab coats, their unholy electronics/bass/drums abrasion suddenly clicks; a happy mess of cheeky Grand Guignol and Rizzdee art-noise.”
