Dynamic performer E. Patrick Johnson’s acclaimed book Sweet Tea-Black Gay Men of the South is a fascinating oral history of black, gay southern life which will be brought to life in a production at Chicago’s About Face Theatre beginning April 2010. Johnson, who is Professor and Chair of the Department of Performance Studies at Northwestern, will be interviewed by Jane M Saks of the ESB Institute for the Study of Women and Gender in the Arts and Media at Columbia College, where he developed this play as a fellow. Join us for Marathon Sundays. Enjoy a prix-fixe dinner ($25/person for three courses) between performances of each program at Landmark Grill + Lounge, right across from the theatre at 1633 N. Halsted. Call Landmark at 312-587-1600 for reservations.
