Jeff Garlin doesn't get the best lines or biggest moments on Curb Your Enthusiasm. As Larry David's manager, Jeff Greene, he takes abuse — sometimes deservedly — while the characters around him steal the scene. But the Chicago native's increasingly rare standup performances carry a kind of big-tent charisma that Garlin generously curtails on HBO in service to the script. See his underappreciated indie film, I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With (2006), for further evidence. Garlin performs tonight in support of his new book, My Footprint: Carrying the Weight of the World, a characteristically self-deprecating look at his struggles to slim down and go green.
