AIC says: The world is an exciting and frightening place for a young child. It's fun to make a new friend, start school, or believe that you can take a plane to the moon, but it can be terrifying to lose your way home from school, have the monster that you drew come to life, or get up on stage and perform for strangers. The works of Nancy Carlson, Peter McCarty, and Timothy Basil Ering, featured in the exhibition Everyday Adventures Growing Up, address these issues with humor, simplicity, charm, and the right touch of mystery.
